As Sheriff, I will be flexible with my schedule, as I have always been in my career, to establish a more innovative hiring process. We need to promote what Marquette County has to offer and why it is the best place to live, work, and visit.

Over the last 8 years we have hired and trained over 60 deputies for our Sheriff’s Office. This is not sustainable and should not be tolerated. Hiring and training deputies is taxing on all our county resources and is very expensive. I will continually work hard at being flexible and available when it comes to recruiting, training staff, and retaining staff.

Marquette County deserves a Sheriff with a vision for our community, and for our future. As Sheriff, I will continually work on implementing my priorities within our budgetary constraints. I will continually focus on community and staff needs, not my own short term personal retirement goals.

I am the best and most transparent candidate for long-term sustainability as your Sheriff. I am committed to being your Sheriff for the full elected term and will continue to make community public safety of the utmost importance.
